Not all relationships bring comfort. Sometimes, instead of feeling safe, loved, or certain, you feel:

What is relationship anxiety disorder?
We all have relationship anxiety, Relationship anxiety is having any relationship worry or concern - we all worry sometimes. It is important to notice when the anxiety is becoming constant.
Relationship anxiety disorder is a persistent worry, doubt, or fear about a relationship that doesn’t go away—even when things seem “fine.”

What this can look like:

You analyze your partner’s behavior, looking for signs they’re unhappy.

You feel clingy or overly dependent, needing reassurance constantly.

You have physical symptoms—maybe a tight chest, nausea and brain fog—when thinking about the relationship.

Your confused and can't think. You struggle making a decision,

Your mind is overly busy: “Am I being too much?” “What if they leave?” “Should I stay?”
How relationship anxiety can affect mental health
Relationship anxiety is easy to overlook. Be careful that you do pay attention to your own self care as relationship anxiety be affecting your own mental health—and hurting others around us.

CBT is the best therapy for relationship anxiety
CBT has not traditionally been used for relationship therapy. However, it is now highly regarded in the field and seen as one of the most effective therapies for healing all anxiety including relationship anxiety.
